Digital Youth Information Project

The "European Digital Youth Information Project" is a networking project on the theme of online information for young people. Its aims are to identify and exchange good practice and transfer knowledge at a regional, national and European level, to compare different approaches and strategies to providing youth information online and to plan future joint projects that we can deliver as a network.

The Project activities consist of:

  • creating an online forum where the network can communicate, discuss, exchange good practice;
  • running two seminars where promoters can establish a joined-up approach to the network, share ideas and themes, and propose ideas for future projects;
  • creating a final evaluation report - including interviews with young people - which includes case studies, information on best practice, a summary of what we have learnt during our time as a network and ideas for future collaborative projects.

The project involves seven partner promoters from six different Programme countries: Spain, Finland, Belgium, UK, Ireland, Denmark. It also involves 10 young people recruited by each promoter organisation for consultation – 70 young people in total. The project activity runs for eight months (from July 2010 to March 2011) and includes two 2-days seminars in London UK (September 2010 and January 2011). The venue for both seminars is the YouthNet office in London.
